My native language is Finnish but I speak also English
and I have friends speaking many other languages if needed.
This section is a kind of summary of my Finnish music site.
My name is Cristian Laevuo, I live in Riihimäki [Finland] and my main
musical instrument is singing as a soloist. I use to sing and
listen all kinds of music even though my favourites are from the
pop music and r&b. My other services

My birthday is 7th March.
I sing very much different kind of styles. I have practiced
singing through my whole life - as far as I remember - starting
with the recognized choirs and learning classical singing as a
youngster, but I got more into the solo singing in the beginning
of 2000's when I started to participate in singing contests.
Between 2002 and 2006 I participated in five national contests
and one local contest. I was rated at least in TOP 10
meaning I survived at least to the finals in every single of them. In
2003 I won one of the oldest contests in Finland called
"Ponnahdus Pinnalle" [in English: "Bound To The Top"] and in
2005 I became the winner of the local contest called "Hämeen
Tangotähti" [in English: "Tango Star Of The Häme Region"]. Mostly those contests were fun but there's also many things that
are not so fun in competing. If you start to succeed it brings
also lots of pressure and then the main purpose, that's art,
starts to suffer. I have not closed the doors from the contests.
Who knows if I will try someday somewhere - and then again -
just for fun.
In the future there will be more audio samples of my singing on

Because of my versatile voice my repertoire in singing is very
broad. It contains:
• traditional finnish dance
music - mostly
schlagers - and rock oldies [many translated pieces have also
become "traditional" in Finland]
• more new, native dance
music produced in the last 10-15 years
• foreign dance-, rock- and swing
music classics
• foreign pop/rock music [from many
decades]
• pop music ballads [from many decades]
• classics of the finnish pop music

• native and foreign wedding waltzes
and songs
• Christmas songs [swings
and spiritual songs; native and foreign]
• spiritual songs

If there
is sheet music available mainly every possible song
not listed there can be performed after practicing. Usually I
sing live 3 x 45 minutes when talking about danceable music and
if not agreed otherwise.
I perform with many different compositions from duos to quintets
[or even bigger]. Usually what is asked is tried to accomplish.
I know dozen of instrumentalists. The main duo composition of
mine is with Tuisku Marttinen, the piano/keyboard/accordion
player and music teacher from Nastola.
I know lots of musicians who are professionals or specialized in
classical instruments [church organ, piano / grand piano, string
instruments, wind instruments]. I have performed with them in
many different occasions or ceremonies.

My primary way for communicating is e-mail because I'm working
pretty late in the evening or at night also because of the time
zones. Because of this practice below there is mentioned the
time of my daily telephone hour in connection with my mobile
phone number.
I read all my e-mails during my working time and answer as soon
as I know some answers to the matter.
